Some accounts claim Pegasus rose from the blood of Medusa’s freshly severed head as it poured into the Earth. Other accounts claim the blood of Medusa’s head mixed with seafoam implying that Poseidon was involved. Regardless of his origin, Pegasus went on to become on of the most well known figures in Greek Mythology.
